This very central apartment boasts one of the finest views of the castle in Edinburgh. A very spacious apartment, it has a modern, stylishly designed living area with a fully equipped kitchen and double bedroom with a 4 poster bed.

This self catering Edinburgh apartment is a third floor flat set in a historic building located within The Grassmarket. The comfortable accommodation comprises of an entrance hall, a very spacious living room with a fitted kitchen, a double bedroom and shower room. The apartment is located in the Grassmarket square and has unrestricted views of this famous old square from the bedroom window. The Grassmarket is a lively and vibrant area in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, making it popular with tourists and locals alike.

The Grassmarket square is located in the heart of Edinburgh's old town. It is a broad and leafy square that has been a market place for nearly 500 years.

The Grassmarket was the place for many an execution in medieval times and where the body snatchers Burke and Hare carried out the trade in the 19th century. Thankfully, today it is more famous as the place people meet before going on a night out and it has some fine restaurants, shops, hotels, and pubs. The west side of the square is dominated by the castle rock while its east entrance leads out up Victoria street to the Royal mile.

Electricity, linen and towels are included in the price. Clean linen and towels are provided. There is an iron and an ironing board in the flat. There are two foldaway beds and a travel cot can be provided on request. A high chair and children's plates and cutlery can be provided on request at no extra cost.

Access to the Apartment
Please note the self catering apartment is located on the 3rd floor . There is no lift and access is from the very secure communal stairs.

Arrival is after 3pm and departure before 10am.

This apartment has a checkout time 0f 10.00am. With prior approval, on arrival your bags can be left in the apartment after 11.00am. On the day of departure, your bags can be left in the apartment till 2.00pm.

The apartment has one bed room with a double bed. There are two folding beds which can be used in the living room.

The apartment has one double bedroom, a living room/kitchen and a shower room.

The living room is a stylish, modern and spacious room with a leather sofa and a flat screen TV with free view satellite. There are also two foldaway single beds and a travel cot available on request. The window view from this room has spectacular views to Edinburgh castle. The apartment is warm and comfortable. There is also a dining table and chairs for 4.

Limited Mobility Access

The apartment is on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator.



The apartment is situated in the Grassmarket area of the old town, next to Edinburgh Castle.


The apartment is midway between Haymarket and Waverley Stations, a 15 minute walk away. If arriving by plane the easiest way to get to the apartment is the take the airport bus (Airlink 100) to Waverley Bridge, where it terminates. Waverley Bridge, by Waverley Train Station, is a 15 minute walk from the apartment. Some guests walk but most take a taxi. St Andrews Bus Station, where the coaches arrive, is close to Waverley Bridge.


Parking is limited and we advise guest not to bring a car if possible. On street parking is free from 6:30pm to 8:30am, with these times metered parking is limed to a maximum of 4 hours. There is a multi-storey car park nearby at Castle Terrace.
